As Iran Funds Hamas: Worldwide Sympathy for Palestinian Attacks Sparks Security Concerns
Across the globe, supporters of terrorism gathered in solidarity with the Palestinians following the shocking assault by Hamas and other extremist groups, resulting in the deaths of over 700 Israeli citizens. The scale of these attacks was unprecedented, leading to increased security measures around synagogues and Jewish communities, even in the United States and Europe.
In response to the heinous acts, authorities in various American and European cities bolstered security efforts to protect local Jewish populations. The Washington Post reported on these developments.
Images and videos circulated on social media showcasing individuals in Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, the U.K, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, and numerous U.S. cities, including New York City, Denver, and Washington, D.C., voicing their support for the destruction of Israel.

These brutal attacks occurred during the celebration of Simchat Torah and on Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest observed by many in Israel. The timing coincided with the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War when Israel’s Arab neighbors initiated a surprise attack on the holiest day of the Jewish Calendar.
The assault involved the launch of thousands of rockets into Israel, forcing citizens to seek refuge in bomb shelters. Simultaneously, terrorists employed drones to drop explosives on Israeli defenses along the border, rendering them inoperable. Subsequently, the attackers breached Israel’s border wall using explosives and bulldozers. Over 1,000 terrorists infiltrated the country via various means, launching a door-to-door hunt for innocent civilians to slaughter or kidnap.
Reports indicate that more than 100 individuals, including foreigners, were kidnapped, underscoring the international ramifications of these attacks.
U.S. officials have drawn comparisons between these attacks and the September 11, 2001, terror incidents, accounting for differences in population size.
Hamas acknowledged receiving support from Iran, although the specifics remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, another Iranian-backed terrorist group, Hezbollah, also launched attacks against Israel.
Israeli Response: Complete Siege on Gaza
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant declared a “complete siege” on Gaza in response to the devastating attacks carried out by Hamas. The assault resulted in the highest number of Jewish casualties in a single day since the Holocaust.

“I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip,” stated Gallant, elaborating that it would entail restrictions on electricity, food, fuel, and complete closure.
He characterized the perpetrators as “human animals” and vowed to respond accordingly. The decision emerged following an assessment at the Israeli Defense Force’s Southern Command in Beersheba.
Netanyahu’s Stern Warning and Pledge
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Palestinians, urging them to evacuate Gaza immediately. He emphasized that the Israel Defense Force (IDF) was preparing to reduce Gaza to rubble.

Netanyahu’s statement followed the murder of hundreds of Israeli civilians in rocket attacks and shootings carried out by Palestinian terrorists during a holiday celebration.
The Prime Minister expressed the gravity of the situation, noting that Hamas had initiated a “brutal and evil war.” He assured that Israel would emerge victorious, despite the heavy cost, and emphasized the government’s collective support for this decision. Netanyahu pledged that the IDF would employ its full might to dismantle Hamas’ capabilities and transform its strongholds into rubble.
Iran’s Role in the Attacks and Israeli Retaliation Threats
Reports indicate that Iran granted permission to Palestinian terrorists for the large-scale attacks on Israel. The Wall Street Journal provided detailed insights into Iran’s involvement, revealing that officers from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps collaborated with Hamas and other extremist groups to plan these multifaceted assaults, which involved rocket barrages and ground, sea, and air incursions.
Notably, these attacks were orchestrated around the same time as the Biden administration’s mid-August decision to release $6 billion to Iran. This financial infusion potentially enabled Iran to divert resources to support terrorism, according to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD).
The authorization for these attacks was reportedly granted during a meeting in Beirut, involving officials from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian representatives. Despite these revelations, the Biden administration has not confirmed Iran’s involvement.
Israeli leaders have warned that they would target Iran’s leadership if evidence links the country to the attacks, which resulted in the death of over 700 Israelis, the injury of over 2,500, and the abduction of more than 100 individuals.
Iran’s objective appears to be overwhelming Israel by funding terrorism on its borders through various extremist groups.
Escalating Death Toll in Israeli Attacks
Israel has witnessed a staggering increase in casualties in recent weeks due to Iranian-backed terror attacks. Hamas, a Palestinian Islamic extremist organization, orchestrated these attacks, resulting in the deaths of over 700 Israelis and injuries to over 2,500 others.
The conflict shows no signs of abating, as Israel strives to regain control of southern regions following invasions by terrorists.
These Iranian-backed extremists launched thousands of rockets into Israel, prompting residents to seek shelter. Drones were used to bomb Israeli defenses along the border, rendering them ineffective. Terrorists utilized explosives and bulldozers to breach Israel’s border wall, enabling over 1,000 militants to infiltrate the country via various means. They conducted ruthless door-to-door searches, slaughtering or kidnapping innocent civilians.
The number of abductees exceeds 100, including individuals from across the globe, even the United States, according to Israel Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer.
Top U.S. officials have likened these attacks to the September 11, 2001, terror events, accounting for differences in population size.
Hamas has acknowledged receiving support from Iran, echoing Iran’s goal of overwhelming Israel by funding terrorism on its borders, involving groups like Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Trump Accuses Biden of Funding Terror Attack on Israel
Former President Donald Trump criticized his successor, President Biden, for contributing to Saturday’s terror attack on Israel. The attack, orchestrated by Hamas, unfolded during the celebration of Simchat Torah and resulted in the deaths of over 700 individuals, including women and children, with over 2,300 people injured and several hostages taken.

Trump pointed to Biden’s decision to provide Iran with $6 billion in exchange for the release of five American prisoners as a key factor behind the attack.
“I predicted War on Israel immediately after it was announced that Joe Biden gave $6 billion to Iran. They got so much money,” Trump asserted during a campaign event.
He underscored the importance of strong leadership in times of crisis, emphasizing the need for a robust partnership between the United States and Israel.

The former president pledged that, if re-elected, he would stand by Israel and cut off funding to Palestinian terrorists on his first day back in office. He warned that Biden’s perceived weakness on the world stage could lead to catastrophic consequences.
Trump Criticizes Biden’s Leadership Amid Attacks on Israel
Former President Trump did not mince words when addressing what he perceived as a weak and ineffective leadership under President Biden, particularly in light of the Hamas attacks on Israel.
During a rally in Iowa, Trump suggested that the United States was headed in a troubling direction due to the perceived weakness and ineffectiveness of current leadership.
He attributed the recent attacks on Israel to the perception of American weakness and emphasized the stark contrast with the state of affairs just three years prior.

Calling out the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Trump characterized it as “the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.” He urged his supporters to become involved in the political process and participate in local precinct caucus meetings.
Trump emphasized his commitment to strong leadership, promising to stand with Israel and cut off funding to Palestinian terrorists if he were to return to the presidency. He warned of the potential for World War Three under what he described as Biden’s incompetence and weakness on the global stage.
