BIDEN IS GOING TO EMPTY OUR WARTIME OIL RESERVES

Joe Biden announced that he plans to release 1 million barrels of oil per day for the next six months from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in an effort to combat the record-high gas prices Americans are paying at the pump.

The SPR currently holds 568 million barrels of oil.
Biden’s plan would use up roughly 1/3 of the reserve.

This is the largest release in history.

Why this is a dangerous solution: The SPR was originally created to be used in times of crisis like war or natural disaster. It’s not supposed to be used so inept politicians can make up for their inept energy policies.

Back up: This isn’t the first time Biden’s tapped the SPR. Last November he released 50 million barrels and another 30 million just last month.

How’d that work out?

Will it lower gas prices? Scott Sheffield, chief executive of Pioneer Natural Resources said “it is still a band-aid on a significant shortfall of supply.”

If you ask me, this decision has little to do with helping Americans and has everything to do with helping Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.

Just consider the following:

Gas prices were about $2.37 when Biden took office

Today they’ve almost doubled to $4.21

68% of Americans say blame Biden for gas high prices

Why not just stop taxing us on the gas to bring it down instead?
