Trump Says SHOOT IT DOWN
A suspected Chinese spy balloon was spotted making its way across the continental United States, and Joe Biden has chosen not to shoot it down.
What is a spy balloon? It’s an unmanned, high-altitude balloon capable of aerial surveillance and gathering intelligence. It can be equipped with satellites, cameras, and sensors and use wind patterns to cover large areas.
The large balloon, the size of three buses, was first spotted by civilians on a commercial flight over Billings, Montana.
The balloon is suspected to have first traveled across Alaska, through Canada, and eventually into Montana where it’s continuing to fly southeast.
Why Montana? It could have something to do with the 150 nuclear-armed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles we keep ready to lock and load at Malmstrom Airforce Base.
The Biden regime’s response: F-22 fighter jets were deployed to Montana to observe the balloon for any potential threats.
The Pentagon later said the balloon was “traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground” and decided it would allow the spy balloon to continue its flight.
President Trump shared his thoughts on the spy balloon on Truth Social:
“SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON!”
China responds: Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said:
“We have no intention to violate other countries’ sovereignty and airspace.”
“We are gathering and verifying the facts. We hope the relevant parties will handle the matter in a cool-headed way.”
A “second incident”: The Canadian military announced that it was monitoring a potential second spy balloon in Candian’s airspace.
Threat or not, when our number one geopolitical adversary sends a spy satellite into the territorial United States you eliminate it. It’s not even about intelligence. It’s about sending a clear and direct message to the Communist regime.
The only defense I could see for not taking down the balloon is if the U.S. has a credible fear that China has it filled with some sort of chemical or biological weapon. But an extreme escalation like that seems unlikely.
