📜 Constitution: “When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men — yes, black men as well as white men — would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
These words emphasize the foundational importance of the Constitution, a guiding document that underscores the unifying promise of equal rights for every citizen, irrespective of race or background. In my pursuit of public service and candidacy for Lieutenant Governor, I am committed to upholding these constitutional values that echo Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision.
✝️ God: “The founding fathers were really influenced by the Bible. The whole concept of the imago dei, as it is expressed in Latin, the ‘image of God,’ is the idea that all men have something within them that God injected… there are no gradations in the image of God. Every man from a treble white to a bass black is significant on God’s keyboard, precisely because every man is made in the image of God.”
King’s acknowledgment of the profound influence of the Bible and the concept of the “image of God” underscores the intrinsic value of every individual, irrespective of their diverse backgrounds. In my campaign for Lieutenant Governor, I echo this sentiment, emphasizing that All Votes Matter and recognizing the greatness of America lies in the collective contributions of citizens from different walks of life.
On this day, as we honor Martin Luther King Jr., let us recommit ourselves to the ideals of equality, justice, and unity, recognizing that We the People truly means All the People.
In today’s world, where divisive labels like “Woke” and “RINO” lose meaning, and political polarization disrupts peace, reflecting on Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring legacy is crucial.
As we celebrate MLK Day, I draw inspiration from his words on the constitutional promise of equal rights, echoing these principles in my campaign for Lieutenant Governor.
Amid rampant labels and a divisive political landscape, let’s recommit to ideals of equality, justice, and unity, ensuring “We the People” truly means all citizens. As extremists talk of civil war, recalling the civil rights era is vital.
MLK, a symbol of free speech and equality, urged us to uphold Constitutional ideals.
In this turbulent present, let’s ponder if we’d have stood for justice in 1963 and reaffirm our commitment today.
The question remains: will future generations see that we stood for what’s right?
