A Republican candidate just had his wife and two little girls shot at, and if you relied on CNN/MSNBC for your news, you’d have no idea it took place…

A gunman opened fire on the family home of a Republican Congressional candidate in North Carolina, while his family was inside. One bullet landed just feet away from his daughter’s bedroom.

The details:

The shooting took place on October 18 at the family home of Republican Congressional candidate Pat Harrigan while his wife and two daughters [ages 3 and 5] were inside. Pat Harrigan was not home at the time.

Thankfully no one was injured.

Dangerous political rhetoric:

Harrigan is a former Green Beret and is now a firearms manufacturer which has made him a relatively wealthy man. His Democrat opponent, Jeff Jackson, has criticized Harrigan for his wealth. And one criticism may have led to the shooting…

Just weeks before the shooting, Jeff Jackson filmed a campaign ad outside of Harrigan’s home, criticizing him for having an upscale home.

Harrigan responded, saying:

“On September 28th, you and your team shot a television ad outside one of my homes in Hickory, North Carolina.

Aside from the plainly false information in the ad, you crossed a red line–but not before showing your true character to the people of the 14th District. The ad went too far because targeting family domiciles crosses a line.”

As a result of the shooting, as well as the dangerous rhetoric from his Democrat opponent, Harrigan has moved his children out of state. And he now wears a bulletproof vest while campaigning. However, he remains defiant and released a statement saying:

“death threats aren’t enough to knock this Green Beret off that mission.”

Big picture: If you google “CNN Pat Harrigan” you will find no results. Because the media is ignoring this assassination attempt on a Republican.

At the same time, they’re hyper-politicizing the assault on Nancy Pelosi’s husband.
