California’s power grid operator declared a stage 3 emergency and warned residents that they could face rolling blackouts as Gov. Gavin Newsom’s push for green energy leaves them vulnerable during high-demand weather events.

Newsom ignored warnings from California energy officials back in May when they told him the state’s power grid and supply lacked the capacity to provide the state with sufficient power if it’s hit with a heatwave and could leave up to 4 million residents without power.

Instead of listening, Newsom pushed forward with his radical anti-energy agenda, pushing for renewable – but less reliable – energy resources like wind and solar.

Most notably, Newsom signed a law to ban gas-powered car sales by 2035.

Details: California ISO is the state’s power grid operator. Under their emergency alert system, a stage 3 emergency means:

“ISO [is] unable to meet minimum Contingency Reserve requirements. Controlled power curtailments [aka rolling blackouts] imminent or in progress according to utility’s emergency plan. Maximum conservation requested.”

Under the stage 3 emergency, California residents are asked to:

set their air conditioning to 78 degrees or higher

avoid using appliances

turn off lights

unplug unused items

…this is the future Democrats want for the entire country.
