TRUMP SUES THE BIDEN DOJ
Donald Trump is suing the Biden regime’s Department of Justice following the FBI’s unprecedented and tyrannical raid on the former President.
What is Trump suing for?
Trump’s lawyers are calling the raid an “unreasonable search and seizure” and want to prevent the DOJ from having unfettered access to what was seized.
Trump wants:
The appointment of a ‘special master’ to determine what documents are relevant to the DOJ’s search. [A special master is an unbiased, third party]
A detailed inventory and audit of all items seized during the raid.
The return of any items not within the scope of the FBI’s search warrant.
Trump’s lawyers said: “To date, the government has failed to legitimize its historic decision to raid the home of a President who had been fully cooperative.”
Big picture: This confirms what we’ve speculated – that the FBI used this raid as a fishing expedition, grabbing documents unrelated to the Presidential Archives.
Related: We’ve also been following the story of whether or not we’ll get to see the affidavit the FBI used to get their warrant to raid Trump. The judge considering the release of the affidavit has said he is inclined to release it with some necessary redactions. But he rejected the DOJ’s request to not release it all.
