Democrat mayor of Washington D.C., Muriel Bowser, has declared a state of emergency in response to the flood of illegal immigrants being bussed to her city from Texas and Arizona.

The details: This gives Bowser the power to allocate $10 million to establish an ‘Office of Migrant Services’ which will provide services to the illegals sent to her state.

Bowser said at a press conference:

“The crisis at the border is not lessening. It’s getting worse.”

Back up: Biden’s reckless border policies have led to 4.9 million illegals entering the U.S. during his first 18 months in office. And most of that burden has fallen on border states like Texas and Arizona.

Bussing to ‘sanctuary cities’: Texas and Arizona responded to this manufactured crisis by bussing the illegals to Democrat-run “sanctuary cities” like Washington D.C. and New York City.

Since this bussing effort began:

9,400 illegals have been bussed to D.C.

9,000 illegals have been bussed to NYC

Hypocrite much?

Brianne Nadeau, a D.C. council member, complained that:

“The governors of Texas and Arizona have created this crisis… [and] have turned us into a border town.”

…if Nadeau is upset about 9,400 illegals in her city of 700,000, maybe she should consider how the tiny border towns like Zapata (population 5,5000) or Eagle Pass (population 30,000) feel when their cities are overrun by thousands of illegals every week.

The chickens are coming home to roost for these open-border, sanctuary city Democrats who lecture about compassion while never having to deal with the consequences of their compassion.
