Alex Soros, Scion of Soros Dynasty, Vows to Counter Trump and MAGA Movement in 2024 Election
In a recent Politico op-ed, Alex Soros, the heir to the substantial fortune of Democrat mega-donor George Soros, has articulated his family’s mission to thwart the potential re-election of Donald Trump or any candidate in the mold of the MAGA movement in the upcoming 2024 presidential race.
Soros made it clear that recent rumors about the family “leaving Europe” needed clarification, and he took the opportunity to elucidate their intentions, particularly their commitment to combating Trumpism in the United States.
In his own words, Alex Soros asserted, “I believe a MAGA-style Republican victory in next year’s U.S. presidential election could, in the end, be worse for the EU than for the U.S. Such an outcome will imperil European unity and undermine the progress achieved on many fronts in response to the war in Ukraine.”
It’s worth noting that former President Trump has been among the prominent Republican voices opposing the Biden administration’s substantial financial support for the Ukraine war. He has consistently argued that he could swiftly negotiate a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia if re-elected. Trump articulated this stance during an interview with Fox News in July, stating, “I would tell Zelensky: ‘No more, you got to make a deal.’ I would tell Putin, ‘If you don’t make a deal, we’re gonna give [Ukraine] a lot [of weapons]… I will have the deal done in one day.”
In the broader context, it’s significant to mention that Alex Soros has made numerous visits to the White House, tallying up 14 visits since Joe Biden assumed office as President. This engagement underscores the Soros family’s active involvement in political affairs and their determination to influence the trajectory of U.S. politics, particularly in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.
