New data about Americans’ Google searches reveals that they’re more concerned about crime and immigration than they are about abortion and the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago – it’s a bad sign for Democrats who had hoped to ride the abortion issue into the midterm elections.

Big picture: The midterm elections are just 7 weeks away so this is the time that candidates want their voters engaged on the issues they see as keys to victory. Since the economy, crime, immigration, and foreign affairs are a dumpster fire – Democrats would prefer voters focus on issues like abortion ‘rights’ and the FBI investigating Trump.

Details: Axios’ midterm dashboard, tracks Google search trends and article engagement to determine what issues voters are most concerned about at a given time. Some key pieces to point out:

Jobs and taxes are consistently right at the top, followed by Donald Trump and wages.

The border/immigration is now in the top 10, followed by crime.

Way down at #18 is abortion, followed by student loan forgiveness at #20.

The FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago doesn’t even crack the top 20 anymore.
