BALLOON-GATE GOT POPPED BUT WAS IT EXPLOSIVE
Joe Biden finally gave the green light for the U.S. Military to shoot down the Chinese spy plane, after it had already crossed the entire United States and collected all the information it needed.
The details: On Saturday Feb 4th 2023 the balloon was shot down by an F-22 off the coast of South Carolina around 2:30 PM EST. The Federal Aviation Administration had closed the nearby airspace in coordination with the military effort.
While debris was spread out over 7 miles, officials say the water is shallow enough that they could be able to recover most of it.
China responded, calling it “a clear overreaction and a serious violation of international practice. China will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the company concerned, and reserves the right to make further responses if necessary.”
Timeline refresher: While this broke in the news, Biden has known about it since late January:
🗓 January 28: The balloon is first detected over Alaska.
🗓 January 30: NORAD tracks the balloon over Canada, it determined it’s being used for spying.
🗓 January 31: Balloon re-enters the U.S. over Idaho.
🗓 February 1: Balloon enters Montana, home to 150 nuclear missiles. This is when Americans found out.
🗓 February 2-3: Balloon flies across the U.S.
🗓 February 4: It’s shot down.
I’m no mathematician, but I count 10 days that we knew about this balloon. And the best solution the Biden regime could come up with was to wait until it had already surveilled the entire continental U.S. to blow it up?
Chinese Spy Balloon Carried Explosives To Self-Detonate
Following the shooting down of a Chinese spy balloon over the weekend, Pentagon officials have revealed that the balloon potentially was carrying explosives to destroy itself.
According to the Daily Mail, Air Force Gen. Glen D. VanHerck, commander of US Northern Command, revealed in a Monday call with reporters that the Balloon, in addition to potentially carrying explosives, was 200 feet tall, weighed thousands of pounds, and its payload was the size of a jetliner.
VanHerck’s comments came following a briefing by National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, who defended Biden’s decision to wait to shoot down the balloon until the weekend.
“Because the president decided they wouldn’t shoot it down until he could do so safely, and that meant over water, that afforded us a terrific opportunity to gain a better understanding, to study the capabilities of this balloon,” Kirby said.
On the coast of South Carolina on Saturday afternoon, the US military, using an F-22 fighter jet, shot down the balloon with a missile.
Shortly before the balloon was shot down, Federal Aviation Administration had issued a ground stop for three airports in the Carolinas located in Wilmington, North Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The balloon had entered US airspace on January 28 and was known to the Biden administration for nearly a week before its report in the news on Thursday, February 2.
The White House reportedly tried to keep its presence secret to not disrupt Secretary of State Antony Blinken scheduled trip to China, which was postponed after the public’s discovery of the balloon.
Fake News About Trump and Spy Balloons
A related story worth talking about, that could have been it’s own article:
False equivalency: By Saturday afternoon, the media began circulating the story that Chinese spy balloons had flown over the U.S. at least three times during Trump’s presidency. The story came from an anonymous “defense official.” This allegation was denied by former Trump defense officials, including some who openly detest the former President:
John Bolton, who hates Trump, said: “I don’t know of any balloon flights by any power over the United States during my tenure.”
Former ODNI John Ratcliffe said: “I can refute it. It didn’t happen.”
Robert O’Brien, former national security advisor, said: “Unequivocally, I have never been briefed on the issue.”
Former Trump Defense Secretary Mark Esper said: “I don’t ever recall somebody coming into my office or reading anything that the Chinese had a surveillance balloon above the United States.”
Trump himself refuted it, saying: “It never happened with us under the Trump administration, and if it did, we would have shot it down immediately.”
We don’t know for sure if this anonymous “defense official” came from Biden-world. But ask yourself: who stands to benefit most from this allegation? Joe Biden.
