BIDEN’S BABY FORMULA STUNT EXPLAINED

The Biden regime took a premature victory lap, as a small emergency shipment of baby formula was flown into the U.S. from Europe.

The details: Last week Biden authorized the use of the Air Force to fly shipments of baby formula to the U.S. He called it Operation Fly Formula.

The first plane arrived with 78,000 pounds of formula for children with milk allergies.

The premature victory lap: The official White House Twitter page congratulated Joe on the first flight, tweeting:

“Thanks to @POTUS ’ Operation Fly Formula, a military plane landed in Indiana this morning with specialty infant formula – and now, thanks to President Biden’s leadership, we have a second flight heading to Pennsylvania in the coming days.”

The reality is that this shipment was chump change. It’s enough formula to feed just 9,000 babies for 1 week.

…there are nearly 4 million newborns and infants in the U.S. Even if Biden starts flying in 10 of these planes a week, it’s just a fraction of the supply needed to feed American babies.

You can’t import your way out of this problem. Biden’s team admitted they were aware of the supply issue in February.

They should have taken steps then to increase domestic production or clear away FDA bottlenecks that prevent the importation of formula from other countries.
