Calls to Impeach Biden’s border chief DHS Secretary Mayorkas
Mayorkas hit with new impeachment article over ‘reckless abandonment’ of border security
Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs filed articles of impeachment against Joe Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, claiming he is violating his oath of office by allowing an invasion of our southern bother by refusing to enforce U.S. immigration law.
In 2022 alone, the U.S. saw a record 2.3 million illegal alien encounters at the southern border. And there have been over 5 million since Biden took office.
Bigg’s articles of impeachment read: “Secretary Mayorkas has violated, and continues to violate, this oath by failing to maintain operational control of the border and releasing hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens into the interior of the United States.”
Specific violations cited in the impeachment articles are:
Failing to implement the 2006 Secure Fence Act, which mandates that DHS “achieve and maintain operational control” at the border.
Violating the Immigration and Nationality Act, by releasing illegals into the U.S. homeland without detention.
What happens next: According to Biggs, the next step is for it to get assigned to the Judiciary Committee in the House, where Rep. Jim Jordan [who leads Judiciary] may want to initiate hearings “to get the ball rolling.”
