SUPREME COURT SAVES BIDEN FROM HIMSELF

The Supreme Court ruled that the Biden regime must continue to implement Title 42, the Trump-era border controls, while the court hears legal challenges being brought by almost two dozen Republican-led states.

Back up: Title 42 is the Trump-era immigration policy that allowed Border Patrol to reject migrants on the basis of public health due to the Covid pandemic.

The details: The court ruled 5-4 [Justice Gorsuch joined the 3 liberals] to force Biden to continue the policy until oral arguments on the case begin in February of 2023.

The numbers: This is all taking place while the latest numbers from Customs and Border Protection reveal that 206,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended at the border in November 2022 – an all-time-high for that month.

Meanwhile, there’s already a gain backlog of 1.5 million illegals currently in the U.S. waiting for their asylum claims to be processed.

What do the American people think?

According to a recent poll from Harvard CAPS/Harris, 80% of Americans want Title 42 to be kept in place. That includes 67% of Hispanics who want it kept in place.

Big picture: Border resources are already drained, and some days see as many as 9,000 illegals crossing the border. It’s estimated that the number could rise to 15,000 when Title 42 is terminated.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem said the quiet part out loud:

“The Biden administration is doing this on purpose. I think it’s time that the American people, whether you are Republican, Democrat, Independent or not even political that you, recognize that what this president is doing is trying to remake America.”

What happens next?

As I mentioned above, Justice Gorsuch sided with the liberals in this case.

In his dissent he wrote that:

“The current border crisis is not a COVID crisis. And courts should not be in the business of perpetuating administrative edicts designed for one emergency only because elected officials have failed to address a different emergency. We are a court of law, not policymakers of last resort.”

Unfortunately, Gorsuch is probably correct, and that’s why we predict in 2023 the court will sadly rule to allow Biden to end Title 42.
