HOW THE BIDEN REGIME PRESSURED TWITTER TO RIG THE COVID DEBATE

In the latest edition of The Twitter Files, it was revealed how the Biden regime strong-armed Twitter and “rigged” the Covid vaccine debate.

Back up: Since Elon Musk purchased Twitter, he’s opened the companies books and allowed independent journalists to reveal how the company:

censored conservatives at the request of the Biden campaign

suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story

engaged in shadowbanning

conspired to ban President Trump

worked hand-in-hand with the FBI to censor people and information

In the newest Twitter Files thread, independent journalist David Zweig details how Twitter took orders from Biden regime health officials to censor Covid information that was true, but that was counter to their narrative.

They censored doctors and other experts for disagreeing with government health officials.

It even suppressed ordinary users, including some who were simply sharing the CDC’s own data.

The Trump administration also pressured Twitter over Covid. But it wasn’t quite as nefarious as what the Biden regime did. Trump was concerned about Americans panic buying supplies and wanted “help from the tech companies to combat misinformation” about “runs on grocery stores.”

When the Biden regime took over, one of their first meeting requests with Twitter was to discuss Covid and focused on “anti-vaxxer accounts” and singled out former New York Times writer Alex Berenson, who was a loud voice against covid vaccines.

Zweig writes:

“In the summer of 2021, president Biden said social media companies were ‘killing people’ for allowing vaccine misinformation.

Berenson was suspended hours after Biden’s comments, and kicked off the platform the following month.”

Censoring doctors:

Zweig writes that “Twitter did suppress views—many from doctors and scientific experts—that conflicted with the official positions of the White House. As a result, legitimate findings and questions that would have expanded the public debate went missing.

Pressure campaign: Internal e-mails from Twitter’s Head of U.S. Public Policy, Lauren Culbertson detail how the government forced its will on the private company:

“The Biden team was not satisfied with Twitter’s enforcement approach as they wanted Twitter to do more and to de-platform several accounts. Because of this dissatisfaction, we were asked to join several other calls. They were very angry in nature.”

Big picture: Twitter is a private company that can choose to censor whatever it likes without violating the First Amendment. But these Twitter Files are starting to show that the censorship is being directed by the government… not the private company.

Elon Musk weighed in, tweeting that there was “much more” on the government pushing for censoring covid information and that this was just an “introductory thread.”

Remember, Musk tweeted that his pronouns were “Prosecute/Fauci”. Perhaps we’ll find out why he said that in the next batch of Twitter Files.
