FACT-CHECKING TWO BIG JOE BIDEN LIES
Joe Biden spoke to a crowd at a Democratic National Committee event in D.C. and he blurted out two huge lies about gas prices and the unemployment rate.
The lies were so egregious that even the hacks at CNN felt the need to fact-check him.
Let’s take them one at a time:
Gas prices: Biden claimed, “Gas prices are down, $1.30 a gallon. And in 41 states plus the District of Columbia, the average gasoline price is less than $2.99.”
This is not even close to true. According to AAA and GasBuddy, not a single state in the U.S. has gas prices under $2.99 per gallon.
The current average gas price is $3.74, which has been ticking up over the past few days.
Unemployment rate: Biden claimed, “We have a 3.7% unemployment rate, the lowest in 50 – more than 50 years.”
3.7% unemployment rate is very low. But it’s not the lowest in 50 years.
It was lower under Trump – hitting 3.5% and 3.6% nine times in 2019 and early 2020.
Before Trump, unemployment hadn’t been that low since 1969.
Do you think Joe is a serial liar or is he mentally unfit?
Maybe it’s both.
