HILLARY FINED FOR RUSSIA HOAX PAYMENTS
The Federal Election Commission (FEC) has fined Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign for lying about funding the infamous Russian dossier used to begin the Russia hoax against President Trump.
The DNC was also fined for its involvement.
This lawsuit was brought by the Coolidge Reagan Foundation over 3 years ago.
How the scheme worked: Clinton’s campaign paid their law firm [Perkins Coie] just over $1 million dollars. The law firm then paid an opposition research company called Fusion GPS to create the dossier.
…that’s illegal.
The FEC has ordered the DNC to pay up to the tune of $105,000. And the Clinton campaign will have to pay $8,000.
It’s just a tiny win for the good guys, but we’ll take it. As Dan Backer, who brought the complaint on behalf of the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, said:
“This may well be the first time that Hillary Clinton — one of the most evidently corrupt politicians in American history — has actually been held legally accountable, and I’m proud to have forced the FEC to do their job for once.”
Big picture: As we discussed, Donald Trump has also brought a lawsuit against the Clinton campaign alleging she conspired to undermine his 2016 campaign and his administration with accusations of Russian collusion.
