Is Trump’s Dismissal of Epstein a Mistake He Can’t Afford to Make?
It’s no secret that the Epstein case has been one of the most divisive and controversial issues in American politics over the past several years. From conspiracy theories to calls for justice, the saga of Jeffrey Epstein has captivated public attention and sparked outrage. Yet, as the investigations continue to unfold, the reaction from President Donald Trump has left many of his most loyal supporters in the dark, questioning his commitment to transparency and justice.
Let’s step back for a moment and look at where we are. When Epstein was arrested, many of Trump’s most steadfast allies, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, had promised that his return to power would unleash a torrent of revelations. These revelations, they said, would expose the high-powered figures within Epstein’s web and give the victims the justice they deserved. But as we have seen, those promises have remained largely unfulfilled.
In fact, the Department of Justice and the FBI have concluded that Epstein’s 2019 death was a suicide and that there was no explosive “client list” implicating powerful individuals. This revelation has shattered expectations, and now, many of those who were promised transparency are left with nothing but frustration. The promises of powerful figures being named and held accountable have evaporated, and those who had once rallied around Trump for justice feel let down.
Trump Misreads the Room
It brings me no joy to write this, but the truth must be faced: President Trump has misread the room, and it could cost him dearly.
In recent weeks, as the Epstein case continues to swirl in controversy, Trump has been dismissive of the entire issue. On Truth Social, he posted a message asking, “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” This post was in response to the growing frustration within his base, but instead of addressing the real concerns, he essentially dismissed the entire issue, saying, “[Let’s] not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
Let’s pause for a second and think about that. “Nobody cares about Epstein”? That sentiment could not be further from the truth. The MAGA base, the very supporters who have stood by Trump through thick and thin, care deeply about this issue. The base isn’t interested in the superficial political squabbles. They want justice for the victims of Epstein’s horrific trafficking ring, and they want to know the full extent of the powerful people who enabled him. By dismissing Epstein as “somebody nobody cares about,” Trump is alienating those who have always been his most loyal supporters.
The backlash was swift and intense. The Truth Social post, which was heavily ratioed (meaning it received far more comments than likes, indicating strong disagreement), garnered 45,000 comments and only 39,000 likes. One of the most prominent comments read, “This statement breaks my heart, Mr. President. These victims were someone’s daughters, sisters, nieces, granddaughters. Someone’s child. Please reconsider, sir.”
The Growing MAGA Backlash
The anger within the MAGA base has been building for some time. Longtime Trump ally Steve Bannon has also weighed in, stressing that Epstein’s case could unlock the truth about a network of powerful elites. “We need to get to the bottom of Epstein. He’s the key that picks the lock,” Bannon stated. These words should not be dismissed. Steve Bannon’s voice carries weight within the MAGA movement, and his frustration with the lack of transparency on Epstein cannot be ignored.
But it isn’t just Bannon. Megyn Kelly, a former Trump supporter in 2024, also voiced concern. She said, “There’s all sorts of things [Trump’s] focused on. I just don’t think this has captured his attention just quite yet. But it needs… I blame Pam Bondi… She has never missed an opportunity to go on TV and dangle sweet nothings that might be coming your way.” Kelly’s words reflect a growing sense of frustration from those who once trusted that Trump would do right by the American people, especially on issues as important as Epstein’s crimes.
Democrats Pounce on the Opportunity
While the MAGA base grows increasingly disillusioned with Trump’s stance on Epstein, Democrats are sensing an opportunity to capitalize on the situation. Rep. Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California, introduced an amendment demanding the full release of all files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This is not just a political maneuver, but a direct challenge to the Trump administration, one that is drawing increasing attention from the public.
Khanna’s amendment was introduced in the House Rules Committee, but it was rejected by every Republican present, except for Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), who sided with Democrats in favor of demanding the files be released. In his statement, Khanna declared, “Mr. Speaker, I introduce today an amendment demanding the full release of the Epstein files… This is a question of whose side are you on? Are you on the side of protecting the rich and the powerful who put their thumb on the scales of government to suck out millions of dollars while working class Americans suffer? Or are you on the side of the people?”
Khanna further emphasized, “The attorney general said on her desk was the Epstein files and now she’s saying, ‘No, no, no, nothing to see, don’t release it.’ This is a question of trust. We need to release the Epstein files so we can restore government of the people by the people and for people, and every member of Congress tomorrow should be forced to vote on this amendment.”
However, the amendment was voted down by Republicans, including House Rules Committee chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC). Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) expressed his surprise at the outcome, calling it “shocking.”
The amendment would have required U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to “retain, preserve, and compile any records or evidence related to any investigation, prosecution, or incarceration of Jeffrey Epstein,” and to “release and publish any records or evidence” on a publicly accessible website within 30 days. However, despite the challenges posed by Democrats, it’s important to note that there is no official firing or resignation from Pam Bondi at this moment. Both Bondi and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino have stated they will remain in their positions and continue their work, despite the tensions surrounding the handling of the Epstein files.
New Revelations: Metadata, Manipulated Footage, and Lack of Trust
There’s another twist to this already convoluted case: new revelations have come to light that only deepen the sense of distrust. Metadata shows that nearly three minutes were cut from surveillance footage of the facility where Epstein died, directly contradicting the official claims that the video was “raw.” This manipulation of footage raises serious questions about the official narrative surrounding Epstein’s death. Was it truly suicide, or was it something more sinister? The public has every right to demand answers, especially when the government continues to withhold vital information.
Additionally, 21% of voters, according to recent surveys, still do not believe the DOJ’s report on Epstein, indicating a significant portion of the American public is skeptical of the government’s handling of the case. This distrust is only compounded by the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted associate, has reportedly expressed a willingness to testify before Congress about “The Epstein Files.” If Maxwell is willing to testify, why hasn’t she been brought forward sooner? This is a glaring missed opportunity to gain critical insights into the full extent of Epstein’s network.
Random Thoughts from the Public
The public’s frustration is palpable, and many are vocal about their disappointment in the lack of answers. Some have shared their thoughts, offering a mix of skepticism, frustration, and resignation:
- “Who the hell knows at this point… political maneuvering, government coverup, inability to collect concrete evidence… probably a mixture of all of it. Just fix immigration, men in women’s spaces (I have daughters), and pump the economy.”
- “While I’m a huge Trump supporter, I am disappointed in the lack of answers on the Epstein files… It’s very upsetting and has left a bad taste in my mouth for his administration. He promised transparency and the American people deserve the truth. Who are they protecting?”
- “Any hard evidence is long gone, Dems had control of it for way too long.”
- “Bondi is the one who messed up here by repeatedly teasing big revelations that never materialized.”
- “Disappointed that no matter who is in the White House, there is an apparent cover-up. Why should the 1000 girls have to live with this for life? These people need to be exposed, no matter who it is, so the girls can have closure.”
- “First the Iran war and now Epstein files – we’re getting trolled by bots to break up the MAGA coalition and devolve into a circular firing squad. Do not fall for it!”
- “He broke a campaign promise. Also, it looks a little suspicious. Who is on that list that he doesn’t want the public to see?!?!”
- “I feel like there is a good reason for holding back on this information, I just wish there was a better explanation they could present to the public to make it all make sense.”
Trump’s Dilemma: Epstein’s Cover-Up Could Be a Tipping Point for Trump
#GoRight with Peter Boykin Commentary
For nearly a decade, Trump’s MAGA base has been unwavering. Through the Russia-gate hoax, the impeachments, and the relentless attempts to take him down, they’ve stood strong. But now, the question remains: Will Trump deliver on this issue, or will he continue to ignore the very supporters who have stuck by him?
There is a palpable sense of frustration within the MAGA movement over the Epstein case. The base is not asking for a political show, they’re asking for accountability, transparency, and justice. For the victims of Epstein’s trafficking ring, the stakes are higher than any political fight. If Trump wants to maintain the trust of his supporters, he must listen to them on this issue. It’s no longer just about politics, it’s about doing what’s right.
If President Trump continues to dismiss this issue and fails to provide the answers that his supporters demand, it will only serve to further alienate the very people who have fought for him time and time again. Justice for the victims of Epstein is not a partisan issue, it’s an issue of integrity, transparency, and the rule of law. It’s time for Trump to step up and prove that he truly stands for the people, not just the powerful elites.
My friends, we are at a crossroads. There’s no sugarcoating it, this Epstein case is a test for President Trump, a test that could determine whether he continues to be the voice of the forgotten American people or if he becomes just another politician who overlooks the truth to maintain political power. Let’s take a hard, unflinching look at what is happening right now. This isn’t just another scandal; it’s a pivotal moment that will shape the future of this movement and this nation.
This Isn’t About One Scandal, It’s About the Future
This isn’t about choosing between Epstein’s victims and the rest of our agenda. This is about focusing on the truth without letting it derail the work we’ve set out to do. There are real, urgent issues facing the American people that need our attention, issues that will affect the lives of millions. Yet, we’re caught in a game of smoke and mirrors, with people chasing clicks, clout, and political points while we all stand still, waiting for justice that seems just out of reach.
It’s easy to get caught up in the noise, to be swept away by the latest headlines or the latest outrage. But let’s not forget why we’re here in the first place. We voted for a better future, for a government that works for us, for justice and accountability, but not at the expense of everything else. The MAGA movement, and the American people in general, are tired of being distracted from what actually matters.
The truth is, we’ve been here before. We’ve been told time and again that change is just around the corner, that we’re on the verge of explosive revelations, and yet here we are, still waiting. It’s time for President Trump to make a choice: to listen to the people, to stand for justice, but also to stay focused on the issues that will truly make a difference in the lives of everyday Americans. The people who put him in office didn’t just vote for a spectacle; they voted for action.
The Reality Behind the Files and the “List”
One critical question remains: Why are the Epstein files being withheld from the public? It is important to consider that releasing such sensitive information could compromise ongoing investigations, potentially endanger current cases, or even risk the safety of those involved in these high-profile cases. The reason these files might be withheld could very well be tied to the need to protect the integrity of future legal proceedings.
The truth is, in a case as complex and politically charged as Epstein’s, no one simply writes a list of all those involved, particularly when those names could include high-profile individuals with enormous political, financial, or social power. This list, if it exists, would not be a simple inventory. It would be a key that unlocks a web of corruption and complicity reaching the highest levels of government, business, and international influence.
This brings us to another question, who is really safe? Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted associate, might hold the key to unraveling this network. Is she truly safe? Maxwell, who has reportedly expressed a willingness to testify before Congress about “The Epstein Files,” could be the most critical source of information moving forward. But if she does decide to cooperate, we must ask ourselves, will she be protected, or could she end up “suicided” like Epstein? We’ve seen this tragic pattern before. Maxwell’s willingness to speak out might be her greatest threat, and the stakes for her are as high as they come.
We must acknowledge this: justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein is absolutely vital. They’ve suffered at the hands of those in power, and they deserve to be heard, to have their voices recognized, and to see the truth come to light. But we cannot lose sight of the bigger picture. The American people elected Trump to deliver on promises of economic prosperity, national security, and standing up for the values that matter to all of us. We can’t let distractions like a never-ending circus surrounding the Epstein case pull us away from that mission. It’s easy for those who are perpetuating the Epstein spectacle to drown out the real agenda, the agenda the American people voted for.
So, let’s not put all the weight on this one issue, let’s continue to talk about the other real issues that matter to all of us. Rebuilding the economy, securing the border, ending inflation, stopping new wars, deporting illegal aliens, making our streets safe again, cleaning up our food supply, taking on Big Pharma, and many others. These are the issues we voted for. These are the battles we are fighting on the frontlines every single day. Yet, here we are, still tangled in the webs of government bureaucracy and the Epstein case.
Yes, I understand the frustration. Believe me, I do. We all want answers. We all want justice. We want to see those who were complicit in Epstein’s heinous crimes held accountable, no matter who they are. But what we’re seeing right now is a political distraction, a spectacle, a game played by elites who benefit from keeping the truth buried, while we, the working people, are left to fight for our families, our livelihoods, and our futures.
As much as we demand justice for Epstein’s victims, we must also recognize the urgency of the larger battle. The future of this country is not just about uncovering the truth behind Epstein. it’s about keeping our focus on what matters most. The American people have given Trump their trust. It’s time for him to deliver. We need to move forward. We need to prioritize the issues we’ve been fighting for.
We must hold those in power accountable, but we must also remember why we’re here. We must focus on the real issues that affect us, and we must resist the urge to let one issue dominate the conversation and distract us from the work that lies ahead. It’s okay to be frustrated by a decision or a delay, but it’s also important to stay grounded, to not get swept up in the hysteria that social media culture loves to amplify. There’s an entire agenda that was promised to us, and we cannot afford to be derailed by the distractions of the day.
Think about it—this is about more than just one scandal or one case. It’s about the future of our country. It’s about whether we will stay focused on rebuilding, securing, and protecting the American dream. It’s about whether we will keep our eyes on the prize: a prosperous, free, and secure America. And yes, part of that prize is ensuring that those who hurt others, like Epstein, are brought to justice. But we also need to ask ourselves: Who benefits from us getting caught up in this endless cycle of outrage? Who benefits from turning our attention away from the things we actually voted for?
The answer is clear—those who have always sought to divide us, distract us, and destroy the values that made this country great. We can’t let them win. We can’t let them break up our coalition or undermine our resolve.
Don’t Let This Be Another Distraction
The Bottom Line: Focus on What Matters
My friends, let’s not forget why we’re here. It’s easy to get caught up in the noise and the spectacle of politics. But the truth is, the future of America is at stake. Our focus must remain on the things that matter most—rebuilding our economy, securing our borders, keeping our families safe, restoring American values, and defending the principles that make this country great. These are the issues that deserve our attention, not endless distractions.
Justice for Epstein’s victims is critical. But let’s not let the pursuit of that justice derail the real work we need to do. It’s time to get back on track. It’s time to stay focused on the future. It’s time to #GoRight and take back control of the conversation and the direction of our nation.
We have a choice. Let’s make it count.
President Trump’s Opportunity
President Trump has an opportunity here. He can rise to the occasion and deliver the justice that victims of Epstein deserve, but he must also rise above the noise, stand firm in his commitments to the issues that matter most to the American people, and lead with the strength that we’ve come to expect. We must demand answers, but we must also demand action on the promises that got us here in the first place.
So yes, let’s take a breath and recognize that, yes, we want justice for Epstein’s victims. But we must also take a breath and remind ourselves that there’s much more to do. The economy, our borders, our streets, and our children’s future, these are the priorities we must not lose sight of.
It’s time to get back on track. We must focus on the real battles ahead and stop allowing ourselves to be distracted by the spectacle. It’s time to #GoRight, and it’s time to take back control of the conversation, the narrative, and the future of our nation. We didn’t vote for another scandal, we voted for a movement, and that movement is about doing what’s right for the American people.
We stand for truth. We stand for justice. But we must never let ourselves be sidetracked from the work that lies ahead.
At Go Right News, we stand for truth, integrity, and accountability. We are not here to serve partisan narratives; we are here to defend the principles of our Constitutional Republic and tell the truth, no matter who it offends. This is why we need your support.
