Juror Misconduct Allegations Cast Shadow Over Trump ‘Hush Money’ Conviction

Juror in Trump trial may have told family jury planned to convict prior to verdict

A bombshell allegation of juror misconduct has rocked the Donald Trump ‘hush money’ trial, threatening to overturn his recent conviction and raise serious questions about the integrity of the judicial process.

According to a letter sent by Judge Juan Merchan to Trump’s defense team, a Facebook comment allegedly posted by Michael Anderson, who claims to be the cousin of one of the jurors, prematurely disclosed the jury’s guilty verdict. The comment, posted on May 29, one day before the verdict was formally announced, read:

“My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted 🎉 Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!!. ❤️”

Defense attorney Philip Holloway expressed grave concern that this premature disclosure could constitute a breach of protocol and undermine the validity of the verdict. “Jurors are instructed not to discuss the case with anyone other than their fellow jurors,” Holloway stated. “If this is true, it could result in the verdict being overturned and a mistrial being declared.”

Trump responded to the judge’s letter with a single word on Truth Social: “MISTRIAL!!!”

However, Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley cautioned against jumping to conclusions. “The odds that such a posting is a genuine account of a juror in this day and age is relatively small,” Turley said. “That does not mean that it should not be investigated, but it is important to approach this situation with some skepticism.”

The allegations of juror misconduct, if proven true, strike at the very heart of our Constitutional Republic, which relies on the impartial administration of justice to ensure the rule of law. Jurors are sworn to follow the instructions of the court and to deliberate fairly and without bias.
