Nancy Pelosi The Wicked Witch of Wall Street
Rep. Nancy Pelosi [I love not having to call her ‘Speaker’ anymore] and her husband dumped $3 million in Google stock right before the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) announced its antitrust lawsuit against the big tech giant.
Must be a lucky coincidence, right?
Let’s look at the timeline…
📅 December 20 – 28: According to Nancy’s mandatory financial disclosures, she and her husband sold 30,000 shares of Google, trading for almost $90 per share at the time.
📅 January 13: The DOJ assigns its top antitrust official to oversee a potential investigation of Google.
📅 January 24: The DOJ sues Google, claiming its illegally abusing its dominance over the digital advertising space.
Get out while the getting is good: By cashing out when they did, Nancy and her husband avoided a 6% drop in the stock’s price that took place after the DOJ investigation was announced,
This is not the first time Pelosi cheated the system.
Last summer 2022 they saved over half a million dollars by selling shares of microchip maker Nvidia weeks before the U.S. slapped sanctions on the company.
Nancy’s net worth is estimated to be as high as $200 million dollars…
Senator Josh Hawley, who recently introduced the PELOSI Act, to ban members of Congress and their spouses from holding or trading stocks, told Fox News:
“When the voters send members of Congress to Washington, they expect them to do the people’s business – not to be day-trading on the stock market, not to be using the information they get from briefings to go and make a quick buck on Wall St.”
