Record-Breaking Surge: U.S. Border Crossings Reach Unprecedented Highs
WE NEED A WALL: U.S. border crossings hit historic high
In a historic milestone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported encounters with 269,735 illegal immigrants in September alone, establishing a record for the highest monthly total ever documented.
A glimpse into FY23: (The Fiscal Year spans from October to September) Biden concluded the fiscal year with an astounding 2,475,669 encounters, setting a new benchmark as the highest one-year total in the history of the United States.
Reflecting on the past two years of Biden’s presidency, the U.S. witnessed 2,378,944 encounters in Fiscal Year 2022 and 1,734,686 in Fiscal Year 2021.
The cumulative count of illegal immigrant encounters at the southern border since Joe Biden assumed the presidency stands at 6,589,299.
Important note: These statistics do not encompass the “known gotaways,” referring to illegal aliens identified but not apprehended. CBP records indicate at least 1.6 million known gotaways during Biden’s tenure.
Factoring in the known gotaways, the overall total under Biden surpasses 8 million.
To complicate matters: These figures exclude the unknown gotaways, suggesting the potential presence of millions more individuals who successfully evaded detection.
The broader context: Throughout Biden’s administration, 282 individuals on the terrorist watchlist were apprehended at the border. Additionally, 72,823 “special interest aliens” were encountered, hailing from regions recognized for terrorist activities.
