TALIBAN IS RETAKING AFGHANISTAN

Just a month after President Joe Biden announced that he was withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, the Taliban is sweeping through the country, taking control of city after city, and seizing American weapons that have been left behind.

How much does the Taliban control: 12 of Afghanistan’s 34 provincial capitals (which account for about 2/3 of the land-mass), including a key city called Ghazni, which cuts of a critical highway to the capital of Kabul.

What American weapons did they take: Drones, military vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, armored tanks, and artillery. Bradley Bowman from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies says, “We have already seen the Taliban using captured humvees to patrol Kunduz and Sar-e Pol.”

Biden begs the Taliban: The Biden administration is pleading with the Taliban to not attack the U.S. Embassy in Kabul if the terrorist group takes control of the capital city.

In the meantime, 3,000 U.S. troops have been sent to evacuate American citizens and Afghan interpreters from the embassy
