Over the past ten days, more than 90,000 illegal immigrants have crossed into the United States, a sign of what’s to come as Title 42 expires in less than ten days.
Title 42 is the Trump-era border policy that allowed Border Patrol to reject illegals trying to enter the U.S. on the basis of public safety due to the Covid pandemic.
The official numbers: According to the U.S. Border Patrol, They encountered over 73,000 illegals over the past ten days(at the time of questioning), and admitted that another 17,000 ‘gotaways’ avoided detainment.
They’re not sending their best: Over that same ten-day period, border agents stopped and seized:
19 sex offenders
6 gang members
1 convicted murderer
676 lbs. Cocaine
1,052 lbs. Meth
54 lbs. Fentanyl
19 lbs. Heroin
May 11: With Title 42 in place, Border Patrol is able to send most illegals they encounter back across the border. But the useful policy is set to expire on May 11th. According to Texas Gov. Abbott, the federal government expects about 13,000 illegals to cross the border every day once Title 42 is lifted.
Reflecting on his time as Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said in 2019:
“I know that 1,000 overwhelms the system and I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like, so we are truly in a crisis.”
What we’re facing today is 12x overwhelming the system, and 3x the crisis point, according to Obama’s border chief.
What is Biden’s plan to address the crisis? Lawlessness, basically. He plans to replace Title 42 with a policy called ‘expedited removal.’
On paper the policy allows immigration officials to quickly deport illegals who arrive at a U.S. port of entry.
In reality, it’s full of loopholes that illegals know how to exploit. For instance, simply declaring asylum usually gets them released into the U.S.
Gaslighting: And just as a reminder of how little the Biden regime thinks of you. The Press Secretary told the press this bald-faced lie:
“When it comes to illegal migration, you have seen it come down by more than 90%, and that’s because of the actions that this President has taken.”
Since Biden took office, 5.5 million illegal aliens have been encountered crossing our southern border. In Trump’s full four-year term we had roughly 2.4 million encounters.
