aka The Biden Bribery Scandal
Joe Biden is alleged to have received a $5 million bribe from a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, while he was Vice President in exchange for favorable policy decisions, according to an FBI source who reported the disturbing details to the bureau in June 2020.
Note that Joe’s son Hunter served on the board of Burisma beginning in April 2014.
The details are contained within an FBI FD-1023 form, where a “highly credible” confidential human source alleges the $5 million payment was part of a criminal bribery scheme. The sources detailed multiple meetings and conversations they had with top executives at Burisma over the course of several years, beginning in 2015.
An FD-1023 form is what the FBI uses to memorialize information gathered from confidential sources.
What we know about the confidential human source: He/she is a business professional that Burisma reached out to get advice on getting U.S. oil rights and working with U.S. oil companies.
The source says the Burisma executive discussed Hunter’s role on their board. When the source asked why Bursima was seeking his/her advice if they already had Hunter on their board, the executive said it was because Hunter was “dumb.”
The source alleges the executive said they were told they had to “pay the Bidens.”
While discussing payment to the Bidens, the executive told the source: “$5 million for one Biden, $5 million for the other Biden.”
Pay for play: The source says these payments were for Joe Biden’s help dealing with several hurdles the energy company was facing, including a corruption investigation led by Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin.
Here’s the kicker… There’s footage of Joe Biden speaking at an event in 2018, where he bragged about using his influence to get Shokin fired, threatening to withhold a $1 billion U.S. loan.
Biden told the crowd: “I said… ‘If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b*tch, he got fired!:
Where is the money? The source told the FBI that Burisma paid the Bidens “through so many different bank accounts” that it would take “at least 10 years” for investigators to unravel them. In other words, they used shell companies to conceal the payments. That’s what criminals do.
Republicans in Congress are unraveling it: They have subpoenaed Biden family bank records that have revealed payments from China and Romania.
Rep. James Comer told Fox News:
“The payor of these bribes bragged that the way Biden wanted the money distributed, it would be through so many banks that it would take investigators 10 years to track the money… It’s taken us a long time to track the money, but we are tracking the money… And we’ll find this money from Ukraine.”
What is Biden saying? He was asked about these allegations and essentially dared Republicans to find the money, responding: “Where’s the money?” with a smirk.
The full House Oversight Committee was finally given access to the FD-1023 forms, after threatening to hold FBI Director Chris Wray in contempt. So I’m guessing the anonymous source who revealed the details of the form to Fox News is a Republican on the committee.
