THE NEW SHERIFF JIM JORDAN IN TOWN PUTS FBI ON NOTICE
Rep. Jim Jordan has served the FBI a “preservation notice,” instructing the bureau to retain all documents related to its interaction with Twitter.
Why? Rep. Jordan plans to launch House investigations based on recent revelations in TheTwitter Files, showing a more-than-cozy relationship between Big Brother and Big Tech.
Back up: Rep. Jordan will take over as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee in 2023, essentially giving him control over oversight in the new Congress.
What he’s saying: Jordan published his preservation notice to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Twitter.
It said:
“These documents show that the FBI maintained this relationship with Twitter apart from any particularized need for a specific investigation, but as a permanent and ongoing surveillance operation. These revelations sadly reinforce our deep concerns about the FBI’s misconduct and its hostility to the First Amendment.”
“The FBI’s close coordination with Big Tech threatens Americans’ civil liberties.”

What happens next: Jordan gave the FBI a January 11 deadline to produce all of the documents.
And he isn’t solely focused on Twitter. Rep. Jordan also sent letters to the CEOs of Apple, Amazon, Alphabet (Google), Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft demanding information about
“the nature and extent of your companies’ collusion with the Biden Administration.” 🔥🔥
