WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE TRANSGENDER NASHVILLE SCHOOL SHOOTER
NOTE: Please DO NOT generalize the whole LGB or T Community for the mental illness of one of its members, this is tragic that this happened but NOT an excuse to take this out on a full community.
We’re going to be discussing the mass shooting that took place in Nashville, but first I want to introduce you to officers Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo. Two good guys with guns that rushed toward the gunfire and eliminated the shooter.
A 28-year-old transgender woman [she identified as a man] shot and killed three children and three staff members at a Christian school in Nashville, in a calculated attack, fueled by what police described as “resentment” against the religious school.
What we know about the shooter: Her name was Aubrey Hale and she was a former student at The Covenant School, where the attack took place. Hale’s LinkedIn profile indicates she used he/him pronouns.
How the assault took place: Around 10:15 AM, Hale entered through a side door armed with two rifles and a handgun. Once inside, she opened fire, killing three 9-year-old children and three staff members [a custodian, substitute teacher, and the principal].
According to police, they found a detailed map of the school at Hale’s home.
The police response was quick. Within 14 minutes, five officers arrived and without delay engaged the shooter. Two of them opened fire and killed Hale.
Police Chief John Drake praised the officers, saying “It could have been far, far worse” had they not acted quickly.
The motive: Police revealed that Hale left behind a manifesto, but was not ready to share what it said. However, Drake did tell reporters:
“There’s some belief that there was some resentment for having to go to that school.”
When asked if her transgender identity played a role in the attack, Drake said: “There is some theory to that, we’re investigating all the leads.”
Democrats were quick to politicize the issue, with Joe Biden calling on Congress to “pass my assault weapons ban.” But maybe, instead, we should be talking about…
Transgender mass shooters: You wouldn’t know it based on the media’s coverage, but Aubrey Hale isn’t the first trans mass shooter.
In 2018 a transgender Rite Aid employee shot and killed three people before shooting herself.
In 2019 a transgender student killed one classmate and injured eight others at a high school in Colorado.
In 2022 a ‘non-binary’ person shot and killed 5 people and injured 18 at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs.
There is a transgender mental health crisis in America. According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, 58% of transgender patients had at least one mental health diagnosis compared with 13.6% of cisgender patients.
…but, again, the media won’t discuss this. Even when 9-year-old children are the price of their willful ignorance.
