WITCH HUNTS GONNA WITCH HUNT
The House January 6 Committee voted unanimously to recommend the Department of Justice (DOJ) charge former President Trump with crimes related to the Capitol riot.
Back up: This committee was created in early 2021 by Nancy Pelosi who rejected Republicans that were put forward by the GOP to join the panel. Instead, she hand-selected two rabid-anti-Trump RINOs [Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger] to create the illusion of bipartisanship.
Details of the charges:
The panel voted to recommend four charges:
Obstruction of an official proceeding
Conspiracy to defraud the U.S.
Conspiracy to make a false statement
Insurrection
This is the first time in U.S. history that the House has recommended criminal charges against a President.
Trump responded to the panel on Truth Social, saying:
“These folks don’t get it that when they come after me, people who love freedom rally around me. It strengthens me. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. Americans know that I pushed for 20,000 troops to prevent violence on Jan 6, and that I went on television and told everyone to go home….”
In related news: The J6 Committee also referred four of their House colleagues to the ethics panel for refusing to comply with their subpoenas: Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Scott Petty, and Andy Biggs.
Big picture: These recommendations are just that… recommendations. But I wouldn’t put it past the corrupt DOJ to have just been waiting for this illegitimate committee’s recommendations to use as a pretext to perp-walk Donald Trump in handcuffs with CNN cameras rolling.
