Ten Indictments Show What an Actual Election Case Looks Like

A federal grand jury indicted 10 foreign nationals in Minnesota on charges involving alleged illegal voting or false claims of U.S. citizenship.

Every defendant remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

That is what a real election-integrity case looks like: identifiable defendants, specific allegations, statutes, evidence and a courtroom.

Secure Elections Require Evidence, Not Assumptions

Do not tell Americans that every questionable registration proves a stolen election.

Investigate.

Find the evidence.

Charge people when prosecutors believe they can prove a crime.

Then let defendants receive due process in court.

If the government proves that noncitizens knowingly voted, enforce the law.

Citizenship should mean something, and federal elections belong to eligible American voters.

But secure elections require accuracy in both directions.

A naturalized American citizen incorrectly flagged by a government database is still an American citizen with exactly the same voting rights as anybody else.

Waste should be cut too.

But Article I gives Congress the power of the purse.

Constitutional rules do not become optional because a policy goal is popular.

Evidence Beats Election Rhetoric Every Time

Election integrity becomes weaker when every allegation is treated as proof.

Verify eligibility.

Investigate credible evidence.

Prosecute actual crimes.

Protect legitimate voters.

Publish the facts.

Then let the evidence speak louder than the rhetoric.
