J6 Committee Conceals Evidence Supporting Trump’s Request for 10,000 National Guard Troops
The January 6th Committee is facing accusations of deliberately concealing a crucial transcript that supports former President Trump’s assertion that he requested 10,000 National Guard troops on January 6.
Earlier Claims: The J6 Committee, predominantly composed of Democrats with two vehemently anti-Trump Republicans, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinsinger, had previously asserted that there was “no evidence” to validate Trump’s claim of seeking additional troops.
Testimony Undermined: Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato, appearing before the J6 Committee on January 28, 2022, in the presence of Liz Cheney, provided testimony supporting Trump’s request for 10,000 troops to maintain peace.
Ornato’s Account: Ornato disclosed that he overheard a phone conversation between Trump’s Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. During the call, Meadows conveyed Trump’s suggestion for 10,000 troops, emphasizing the president’s desire to ensure adequate security.
White House Recommendation: Despite the White House’s recommendation, Mayor Bowser opted against deploying 10,000 troops, settling instead for a limited contingent of 350 soldiers on January 6.
Selective Disclosure: Out of approximately 1,000 interviews conducted by the J6 Committee, less than half, including Ornato’s testimony, were made public. This raises questions about the existence of potentially exculpatory interviews that could further vindicate Trump.
Hidden Testimonies: The deliberate withholding of testimonies that might counter the committee’s narrative adds fuel to concerns about the transparency and impartiality of the J6 investigation. How many more interviews are being kept hidden, containing evidence favorable to Trump?
