Joe Biden traveled to Massachusetts and announced his regime’s new actions to combat climate change, telling the audience

“This is an emergency and I will look at it that way.”

He plans to:

Bolster domestic offshore wind industry in the Gulf of Mexico and Southeast

Have FEMA administer $2.3 billion to help communities cope with rising temperatures

Back up: While Biden called this an “emergency” he stopped short of declaring an actual national emergency, which activists and Democrat lawmakers have been pushing for.

Congress doesn’t have the votes to pass the Green New Deal. So Democrats want Biden to declare a national emergency to do it like a dictator.

Big picture: A new poll from the New York Times asked Americans if they think climate is the most important problem facing the United States:

1% of voters said yes

3% of Democrats said yes

3% of young people [18-30] said yes

…So Democrats want to wreak havoc on our economy [on top of the havoc Biden has already wreaked] for an issue that nobody in the United States cares about.

What comes next: Biden left the door open to declaring a national emergency in the name of climate, saying, “I’m running the traps on the totality of the authority I have.”

The Federalist writer David Harsanyi puts it perfectly:

There’s no “It’s Summer” clause in the Constitution, empowering the president to ignore the will of Congress and unilaterally govern when it gets hot. The rejection of the president’s “agenda” by the lawmaking branch of government isn’t a justification for executive action, it’s the opposite. The Senate has unambiguously declined to implement Biden’s climate plan.
