FIRST OF ALL, I SUPPORT TRUMP! BUT I’M HERE TO DELIVER THE NEWS, NOT JUST TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR.

Supporting President Trump doesn’t mean I have to agree with every decision his administration makes. I’m a Constitutionalist for Liberty first, and that means holding government accountable, whether Republicans or Democrats are in charge.

Here at Go Right News, we’re not here to blindly defend politicians or attack them just because of their party affiliation. We’re here to report the facts, ask the tough questions, and defend the Constitution.

And this latest story about a federal judge blocking taxpayer-funded advertisements promoting President Trump is exactly why that distinction matters.

I can support Trump, support his policies, and still believe taxpayer dollars should never become a political campaign fund.

Because the Constitution doesn’t change depending on who’s sitting in the White House.

That’s the difference between going blindly right and going constitutionally right.

Now, let’s #GoRight and get into the story.

When Government Advertising Starts Looking Political

A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to stop using taxpayer money for television advertisements promoting President Donald Trump and his administration’s policies.

The decision follows a legal challenge over whether federal agencies can use public funds for advertisements that critics argue resemble political campaign commercials.

The controversy has drawn criticism from Democrats and some Republicans, raising a government-accountability question that should matter to every taxpayer.

Where does legitimate government communication end and taxpayer-funded political promotion begin?

That distinction matters regardless of whether a Republican or Democrat occupies the White House.

$20 Million, Political Ads, and a Federal Court Order

The Department of Homeland Security allocated $20 million in federal funding for a television advertising campaign featuring President Trump and promoting administration policies.

The advertisements began airing in late September. Some resembled political campaign messaging, including one that incorporated material similar to Trump’s previous presidential campaign.

The administration defended the commercials as legitimate public-service announcements communicating government policies and promoting the United States.

However, a coalition including the government watchdog Common Cause filed a lawsuit arguing that the advertisements violated federal restrictions against using appropriated funds for unauthorized publicity or propaganda.

U.S. District Judge Jennifer Rochon issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting further use of the disputed federal funds for the advertisements.

The order also required the administration to cancel remaining broadcasts and prohibited new or expanded advertising agreements for two weeks.

The judge determined that the plaintiffs were likely to succeed on their legal claims and could suffer irreparable harm without temporary relief.

But this is an important legal distinction: The temporary order is not a final judgment that every advertisement violated federal law.

The Justice Department had previously informed the court that the administration planned to end the advertising campaign.

However, advertising tracking data subsequently indicated that two advertisements continued airing after the court’s deadline.

The White House attributed the continued broadcasts to a delay in receiving notice of the order. The Justice Department acknowledged the communication error and apologized in a court filing.

President Trump has indicated that political funding sources would pay for similar advertisements going forward rather than taxpayer money.

The administration has not committed to reimbursing taxpayers for the earlier advertisements.

The $20 million represents funding allocated to the campaign, not necessarily the final amount spent.

The underlying litigation remains unresolved, including questions about the legality of the expenditures and whether additional remedies will be necessary.

Your Tax Dollars Are Not a Campaign Fund

The Go Right with Peter Boykin Perspective

I support President Trump’s right to promote his administration’s accomplishments, defend his policies, and explain his vision for America.

Every president has a responsibility to communicate with the American people.

But there is a difference between informing taxpayers about government programs and using taxpayer money to promote political personalities or election messaging.

That distinction matters regardless of which political party controls Washington.

I have consistently argued that government must operate within constitutional limits, and that principle does not disappear simply because I support the president.

Congress controls federal appropriations. Executive agencies are responsible for spending those funds according to the law.

If taxpayer money is appropriated for specific government purposes, those funds should not become an unrestricted advertising budget for whichever political party occupies the White House.

I also recognize that government agencies routinely communicate with Americans about public safety, immigration enforcement, national security, and other legitimate matters.

Those communications should not automatically become illegal simply because they reflect an administration’s policies.

The real question is whether the spending serves an authorized public purpose or primarily advances a political campaign.

That question deserves a legal answer based on evidence, not partisan outrage.

If President Trump wants to advertise his political accomplishments through privately raised political funds, that is an entirely different matter, subject to applicable campaign-finance laws.

But taxpayers should not be expected to finance political advertising for Republicans, Democrats, or anyone else.

Limited government requires consistent standards.

We cannot demand accountability from Democrats while ignoring the same principles when Republicans hold power.

And we cannot allow political disagreements to become excuses for courts to interfere with legitimate government communication.

The law should determine where that boundary exists.

Support the president when he is right. Hold government accountable when necessary. Defend the Constitution every time.

That is the Constitutionalist for Liberty position.

The Price of Politics Shouldn’t Be Paid by Taxpayers

The temporary court order restricts further taxpayer-funded broadcasts while the underlying legal dispute continues.

The important questions now concern the final accounting of public money spent, whether the expenditures violated federal law, and whether Congress needs stronger safeguards against taxpayer-funded political promotion.

The continued airing of advertisements after the court’s deadline also raises questions about how quickly federal agencies implement judicial orders.

Government has a responsibility to communicate with the public.

It does not have unlimited authority to spend public money promoting political interests.

And this standard should apply to every administration, regardless of party.

Taxpayer dollars belong to the American people, not to a political party.

That is how we #GoRight, not blindly right, but constitutionally right.

A federal judge has blocked taxpayer-funded television advertisements promoting President Trump after a $20 million government advertising campaign sparked bipartisan criticism. Some advertisements continued airing after the court’s deadline, prompting additional questions about compliance and accountability. The Go Right with Peter Boykin Perspective examines government spending, constitutional limits, and why taxpayer dollars should never become a political campaign fund.
