MAJOR VICTORY: SCOTUS FORCES BIDEN TO REINSTATE TRUMP IMMIGRATION POLICY

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the Biden administration must reinstate the Trump-era ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy after Biden signed an executive order terminating the successful immigration policy.

What is ‘Remain in Mexico’? It mandates that when immigrants cross the southern border seeking asylum, they must wait in Mexico while their claims are evaluated by U.S. authorities, rather than releasing them into the homeland and trusting they come back once their case is finished.

For perspective: Biden’s shift in border policy has led to over 1 million illegal immigrant apprehensions at our southern border in 2021, with over 200,000 in July. This puts us on pace to have one of the worst years in history.

The Supreme Court ruled that Biden “failed to show a likelihood of success on the claim that the memorandum rescinding the Migrant Protection Protocols was not arbitrary and capricious.”

Texas Senator Ted Cruz tweeted: “Biden’s lawless & disastrous decision to end the Remain in Mexico Policy has led to over 1 million illegal aliens crossing our southern border. Tonight the Supreme Court made clear that Biden must follow the law and reinstate this incredibly important policy.”

Meanwhile: The Taliban, who have a notorious history of oppression and violence toward women, are poised to seat a representative on the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women should they form a recognized Afghan government, according to a former U.N. ambassador. [Washington Examiner]
