NBC News reported that Russia gave Joe Biden the choice between freeing WNBA player Brittney Griner or ex-Marine Paul Whelan – Biden chose the basketball player.

Shortly after the report, and pushback from the Biden regime, NBC News edited the article. See if you can spot the difference:

The initial report read: “But the official said Russia has treated Whelan differently because he is an accused spy, and that the Kremlin gave the White House the choice of either Griner or Whelan — or none.”

The updated report reads: “But the official said Russia has treated Whelan differently because he is accused of spying and that the Kremlin ultimately gave the White House the choice of Griner or no one after different options were proposed.”

They removed reference to the choice to free Whelan.

Parroting the regime: The updated report mirrors what the White House Press Secretary said, almost to the word: “Unfortunately, the choice became to either bring Brittney home or no one.”

Back up: In November 2022 an NBC journalist was suspended after he reported that Paul Pelosi [Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband] opened the door for police and didn’t appear in distress on the night of his attack.

Big picture: This looks like just another example of the “free press” taking their orders directly from the White House.
