Sadly a Texas court rules against dad trying to protect son from gender re-assignment
A father’s multi-year fight to prevent his ex-wife from taking their son to California and medically transitioning him from a boy to a girl was just tragically ended by the Texas Supreme Court.
First, I don’t normally cover articles that could be considered “Anti-LGBT” in nature because too many media (especially on the right) generalize these types of articles. This makes too many of my fellow right wing feel hate for the gay community. I do not wish to spread hate. I do however feel strongly that people should not be given puberty blockers or gender reassignment surgeries until they have proper counseling and are 21 years of age. This is why I am covering this news.
First, a refresher on this story…
Jeffrey Younger’s custody battle against his ex-wife Anne Georgulas received national attention last year. Georgia claimed that their seven-year-old son James identified as a girl and wanted to be called ‘Luna’ instead.
Georgulas claims her son wanted to be a girl because he liked the female characters in Frozen, wanted the girl’s toys from Mcdonald’s, and asked to wear dresses.
Younger claims his ex-wife, a pediatrician, was coercing their son to identify as a girl to help advertise her own “gender-affirming” medical practice.
In a video he recorded last year, he asked the son “who told you you’re a girl?” to which James replies, “mommy.”
Ultimately their custody battle ended last October 2022 with Younger losing his joint custody of James, but still retaining his rights to have “a say in his medical treatment.”
Californication: In December 2022, Georgulas moved her kids to California, where a new law [introduced by State Senator Scott Weiner and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom] essentially made the state a sanctuary state for parents trying to medically mutilate their children.
And that’s how we get to this new case…
New details: The Texas Supreme Court officially ruled against Younger, who wanted the courts to stop his ex-wife from seeking to medically transition his son in California since Texas has laws against the procedures on minors.
Younger tweeted:
“The Supreme Court of Texas denied my Mandamus, effectively terminating my parental rights. My children are now subject to being chemically castrated in California. Texas is an empire of child abuse, led by Texas judges.”
Unfortunately, this appears to be the end of the line for Younger…
California is a sick sick place…
