The left is pushing hard for universal pre-school across the country, so they can start indoctrinating your kids when they’re toddlers.

It was a big part of Biden’s failed ‘Build Back Better’ bill and Democrats are now looking at new ways to pass it into law.

But a new study found that government-funded preschool left students worse off in the long run – leaving them more likely to fall behind academically and have behavioral issues.

Background: The study looked at the academic and social outcomes of 2,990 students who attended state-funded preschool in Tennessee.

The results were published by the American Psychological Association in the journal Developmental Psychology.

Here’s what it found:

“Data through sixth grade from state education records showed that the children randomly assigned to attend pre-K had lower state achievement test scores in third through sixth grades than control children, with the strongest negative effects in sixth grade.”

“A negative effect was also found for disciplinary infractions, attendance, and receipt of special education services.”

The wrong solution for the problem: Dale Farran, a Vanderbilt professor and one of the authors of the study said:

“We’re choosing to enact [pre-K] as a policy and if it’s not working, we need to think about, well, what do we need to do for poor families to support them and their children so they do better in school?”

…which is so spot on. Students who struggle in school don’t usually struggle because they need more school. They struggle because they need support at home. If Democrats really cared about struggling kids, that’s where their focus would be, instead of trying to set up new government systems.
