The Go Right with Peter Boykin Perspective.

Americans are tired of promises.

We hear them every election cycle. Politicians tell us the economy is improving, our communities are safer, our borders are secure, and prosperity is just around the corner.

But the average American does not measure success by how good a politician sounds behind a microphone.

They measure it at the grocery store, at the gas pump, when they pay their electric bill, and when they look at how much money is left after paying their expenses.

Americans need results, not another election-year sales pitch.

I support President Trump and many of the policies he has championed. I believe in strong borders, American energy production, peace through strength, economic opportunity, and putting American citizens first.

But supporting a president does not mean giving politicians a free pass.

Republicans should be held to the same standards we demand from Democrats.

If we campaign on fiscal responsibility, we need to practice fiscal responsibility.

If we promise limited government, we need to respect constitutional limits.

If we promise affordable energy, Americans should eventually see meaningful relief in their household expenses.

And if we promise to protect freedom, that freedom must apply to everyone, including those who disagree with us.

The Economy Is More Than a Campaign Talking Point

American families need financial breathing room.

Truckers need affordable diesel. Farmers need manageable production costs. Small businesses need predictable expenses. Working families need wages that can keep up with the cost of living.

Government cannot solve every economic problem, but it can stop making problems worse through irresponsible spending, unnecessary regulations, and policies that create uncertainty.

Energy independence should remain a national priority.

That means supporting American oil and natural gas production, investing in nuclear power, improving infrastructure, and allowing innovation to compete.

It also means asking whether government policies are actually reducing costs instead of merely generating favorable headlines.

Security Without Liberty Is Not the American Way

I believe in securing our borders and enforcing immigration laws.

But I also believe in due process.

I believe in prosecuting fraud and corruption.

But accusations must be supported by evidence.

I believe in protecting national security.

But America should not enter unnecessary wars without clearly defined objectives and appropriate constitutional oversight.

And I believe in defending the First and Second Amendments, whether the political establishment finds those rights convenient or not.

A strong government is not the same as an unlimited government.

The Constitution does not exist to protect only Republicans, only Democrats, or only the people who agree with the president.

It exists to protect the rights of the American people against government overreach.

Republicans Must Earn Their Victories

With the November 3 midterm elections approaching, Republicans have an opportunity to make their case to the American people.

But winning elections should never become more important than the principles we claim to defend.

The Republican Party must be more than the party of Donald Trump. It must be a party committed to constitutional government, individual liberty, economic opportunity, and responsible leadership.

I want Republicans to win because they deliver results, not simply because voters dislike the alternative.

I want a government that protects Americans without controlling every aspect of their lives.

I want leaders willing to admit when a policy is not working and courageous enough to change course.

And I want a political movement that understands loyalty to the Constitution must always come before loyalty to any individual politician.

The American People Deserve Better Than Promises

Americans deserve affordable energy, safer communities, secure borders, responsible spending, and equal protection under the law.

They deserve a government that respects their freedom rather than demanding their unquestioning loyalty.

They deserve honesty about the challenges facing our country and realistic plans for addressing them.

I will continue supporting President Trump when his policies advance those objectives.

And I will continue speaking out when constitutional principles require scrutiny, regardless of which political party holds power.

That is not being disloyal.

That is being consistent.

Strong borders. Strong civil liberties. Responsible government. Peace through strength.

We are a Constitutional Republic, and our elected officials work for the people, not the other way around.

Campaign promises may win an election.

Results earn the people’s trust.

That is the Constitutionalist for Liberty perspective.

That is how we Go Right.
