When the Watchdogs Lose Sight of the Money
What happens when the very system meant to show the American people who is funding political campaigns suddenly goes dark just days before a major election?
That is the question Washington is facing after the Federal Election Commission’s filing system was disrupted by a reported cyber incident.
Now let me be clear about one thing.
This is not the same thing as hacked voting machines.
This is not proof that ballots were changed.
And this is not evidence that the election itself has been stolen.
But it is a serious problem.
Because when the system used to track campaign money goes offline, transparency suffers. And when transparency suffers, public trust suffers right along with it.
FIRST OF ALL, I SUPPORT TRUMP. But I am here to deliver the news.
I’m Peter Boykin, the Constitutionalist for Liberty, and this is The Go Right with Peter Boykin Perspective.
Because in a Constitutional Republic, the public has a right to know who is trying to buy influence.
And transparency cannot go offline.

Accountability Matters Before Election Day
I support election integrity.
I support secure elections, verified voter eligibility, and protecting the right of lawful American citizens to decide American elections.
But accountability does not begin and end with the ballot box.
It also applies to the money.
The Federal Election Commission exists for a reason. Americans deserve to know who is funding candidates, campaigns, committees, and last-minute political spending.
That is not a minor administrative detail. That is part of how the public judges influence, motives, and power.
If the FEC’s filing system goes down during one of the most politically sensitive moments of the cycle, the American people lose timely access to information they should be able to review before they vote.
And that matters.
Now, we should also be responsible about what we say.
A campaign-finance filing outage is not the same as an election-system breach.
The FEC does not count ballots.
It does not run polling locations.
It does not certify vote totals.
So nobody should exaggerate this into proof that votes were hacked or election machines were compromised.
That would be irresponsible.
At the same time, nobody should minimize the issue either.
Because transparency in campaign financing is part of election integrity.
If voters cannot clearly see where the money is coming from, who is spending what, and how political influence is moving through the system, then trust is weakened.
And trust in institutions is already in short supply.
I support President Trump.
I support his efforts to restore accountability in Washington, challenge entrenched power, and put American citizens first.
But supporting a president does not mean ignoring constitutional principles or public accountability when they become inconvenient.
Government systems must work.
And when they fail, the public deserves answers.
Who attempted the intrusion?
What was accessed?
What was interrupted?
What protections failed?
And how quickly will the government restore the system and explain what happened?
Those are not partisan questions.
Those are constitutional questions tied to transparency and trust.
Americans also need to understand something deeper.
A free people cannot make informed choices if important information is hidden, delayed, or inaccessible at the exact moment it matters most.
That is true whether the problem comes from a cyberattack, bureaucratic incompetence, political gamesmanship, or simple system failure.
The American people deserve a government capable of defending infrastructure, enforcing the law, and protecting public access to information.
And they deserve media and political leaders who tell the truth about what is happening without turning every disruption into a conspiracy theory or every failure into a shrug.
I want Republicans to win because their ideas are better.
I want conservatives to win because they can make the case for strong borders, affordable energy, economic growth, constitutional rights, and responsible government.
But I do not want any side benefiting from reduced transparency.
If money is influencing politics, the public has a right to know.
If systems fail, the public has a right to know.
And if government agencies cannot explain what happened, then Congress, the public, and the press have every right to ask harder questions.
That is not anti-government.
That is accountability.
That is citizenship.
And that is how a Constitutional Republic is supposed to function.

The People Have a Right to See Clearly
At the end of the day, transparency is not a luxury.
It is not optional.
And it is not something government gets to suspend just because the timing is inconvenient.
The American people deserve secure elections.
They also deserve open records, honest disclosures, and systems that let them follow the money before they cast their votes.
We can protect election integrity without spreading panic.
We can demand accountability without inventing facts.
And we can support candidates and causes we believe in without ever surrendering the principle that government must remain answerable to the people.
Because the Constitution does not belong to bureaucrats, donors, or political consultants.
It belongs to We the People.
