PRESS TURNS ON BIDEN’S CHIEF PROPAGANDIST
Joe Biden’s mental decline was on full display. And for once, the press wanted answers.
Back up: This all started when Joe Biden was speaking at a White House event and called for Rep. Jackie Walorski, saying:
“Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? I think she must not be here.”
Just one problem: Rep. Walorski tragically died in a car accident.
It may have been one of the clearest signs of Biden’s mental decline. And the press [rightfully] wanted answers from the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre later in the day. Of course, she deflected every time she was asked about the incident [no surprise] saying Biden slipped because Jackie was “top of mind.”
But what did surprise me was that the press kept asking her the same question over and over again, to drive home the point that the White House was refusing to give serious answers to a serious question.
By my count, 6 different reporters asked her almost a dozen times.
Here are a few:
“What happened in the hunger event today? The president appeared to look around the room for an audience member, a member of Congress who passed away last month.”
“If the late congresswoman was top of mind for the president… why was he looking for her?”
“Was the president confused? Was something written in the teleprompter that he didn’t recognize?”
“Karine, I have John Lennon top of mind just about every day, but I’m not looking around for him anywhere.”
I’ll link to both Biden’s embarrassing mental lapse and a complication of the press going after Jean-Pierre below.
